Dylan's Montessori Fundraiser

Dylan attends St. Augustine Public Montessori school, one of the few public Montessori options in the state of Florida! We are a charter school, but we are not one that is owned by a large for-profit education management company. Our school is an independent, community funded alternative education option. 

With continued cuts to public education in Florida, our school often feels the brunt of it. Because we're smaller than other public schools in the county, we get a smaller "piece of the pie" based on our enrollment. And when you pair that with the higher expenses needed for our quality Montessori materials, the necessity for fundraising becomes even greater. 

The unique learning environment cultivates children's autonomy and sustains their curiosity by giving them personal freedom in their learning experience (within limits, o course). This approach helps children learn at their own pace, and become more confident. 

 Dylan is already doing math, reading small words and even spelling some words on her own! She is so excited about learning, and her drive is nurtured in this environment.
