Laughne Daphne's Montessori Fundraiser

If you know our family, you know we’re not exactly the “perfectly polished family photo and formal speech” type. We laugh loudly, survive on coffee, run late sometimes, and try our best every day. Which is probably why Saint Augustine Public Montessori feels so much like home to us.

When we chose SAPMS for our daughter, we hoped to find a school where she would feel safe, supported, challenged, and truly seen. What we found was so much more than a school. We found a community that has helped shape who she is becoming.

Saint Augustine Public Montessori has given our daughter the opportunity to learn in a way that honors her individuality, curiosity, creativity, and independence. She isn’t just memorizing facts or preparing for tests. She’s learning how to think critically, solve problems, care for others, and grow into a confident and compassionate person.

One of the most meaningful lessons our family has seen come from this school has nothing to do with grades at all.

The Peace Rose may seem like a small thing, but it represents something incredibly powerful. Watching children learn how to navigate conflict respectfully, communicate their feelings, listen to each other, and work through problems together has been amazing to witness. These are life skills. The kind that shapes not just good students, but good humans. (And if we’re being honest, some adults could probably benefit from a little Peace Rose practice too.)

What makes this school truly special is the environment created by the teachers, staff, and families. The classrooms foster respect, collaboration, kindness, and a genuine love of learning. The teachers pour their hearts into every child, helping them feel valued, capable, and encouraged to be themselves.

As parents, there is nothing more meaningful than watching your child wake up excited to go to school. We have seen our daughter become more confident, independent, compassionate, and eager to learn because of the experiences she has had at Saint Augustine Public Montessori.
