RESOUND

We are renewing the Church's imagination and reintroducing the beauty of the gospel to our city — one performance, one worship night, one artist at a time.

Something is shifting in American culture. Traditional religious institutions are in decline — and yet the hunger for meaning, beauty, and transcendence has never gone away. Studies show that many people are longing for wonder. Some are longing to belong to something larger than themselves. They're just not looking for it inside a church building.*

That's exactly where RESOUND goes to meet them.

Founded by Broadway performers Stephen and Juliette Trafton, RESOUND creates missional encounters through the arts — immersive biblical performances, ecumenical worship nights, and storytelling that awakens wonder and invites people into the expansive, overwhelming love of God. We go beyond church walls to create spaces where wonder is re-awakened and what it means to be human can be genuinely explored.

We believe the arts, through the Spirit, can help bear witness to the uncontainable love of God — and the life he offers — in ways far beyond what we could ask or imagine.

But our mission isn't only outward. Those of us within the church are also being shaped — by digital media, by technology, by a culture that quietly narrows our imagination of God, the world, and our lives. RESOUND exists to push back against that formation with something truer and more beautiful: people shaped by imagination, Word, and worship to live as creative witnesses in the world.

What we've built this year:

RESOUND was awarded a $250k inaugural grant from the Creative Arts Collective. In this first year alone:

We've launched the C4C Artists Guild — a professional, faith-based cohort of artist leaders drawn from across Orlando's churches. We've formed the RESOUND Worship Collective, created training and masterclasses for middle and high school students, and appointed an Advisory Council and Prayer Team. Audiences and participants have grown all year. And there's a growing number of partners who are joining in to see RESOUND sustain — not just through this grant year, but for years to come.

RESOUND is becoming a movement — a movement of artists and creatives who go beyond church walls to awaken wonder and meaning through the arts, and who are being formed deeply enough to sustain that witness for the long haul.
