Project Restore Ministries Inc.

Is uniquely positioned to address financial instability in urban core communities. Our approach is holistic, evidence-based, and asset-based. Rather than relying on paternalistic "handout" models that may foster dependency and diminish dignity, PRM employs methodologies rooted in the "Helping Without Hurting" framework from the Chalmers Center and Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD). These models prioritize empowering individuals and communities by leveraging existing strengths and resources.

Core Values

PRM’s core values—Ownership, Partnership, and Accountability—are foundational to our operations. Our guiding principle, "We will not do for others what they can do for themselves," reflects our commitment to fostering independence and self-efficacy among residents. By engaging community members as "Resident Partners," we recognize their unique gifts and capabilities, providing them with the tools necessary to build financial self-efficacy and generational wealth from within their own communities.

Program Foundations and Partnerships

To ensure all programs are grounded in established best practices, PRM has become a certified partner of the Chalmers Center. We utilize nationally recognized curricula from both the Chalmers Center and Compass Financial Ministries. This partnership ensures that our Resident Partners receive high-quality, effective training designed to support their journey toward financial stability and long-term wealth creation.Workforce Access Solutions for Today’s Talent Gaps A Strategic Pilot Opportunity from the SMART Workforce Network “Powered by purpose.  SMART Workforce Network (SWN)

A workforce access and career development initiative serving employers and underserved talent across Jacksonville’s urban core. Powered by Project Restore Ministries—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit faith-based ministry focused on poverty alleviation and community restoration—SWN helps employers connect with job-ready candidates who are prepared, supported, and motivated to succeed. (SMART = Sourcing Metro Area Ready Talent) — a strategic focus on local, reliable, performance-minded individuals. SWN leverages the Work Life curriculum developed by the Chalmers Center, a faith-based organization equipping churches and ministries to address poverty through biblical, relationship-centered training. This program prepares candidates with job-readiness skills, personal resilience, and a Christ-centered work ethic—promoting long-term success in the workplace and beyond.
