The Ximenez-Fatio House Museum has won numerous awards, including recognition as one of the top 10% of attractions worldwide. We are one of St. Augustine’s top non-profit museums, preserving the history of our 227+ year-old site, which dates back to 1798 and was built during the Second Spanish Period. As one of the oldest structures in the oldest city in the United States, the museum offers an authentic glimpse into early Florida life. Every dollar donated goes directly to ongoing preservation efforts, ensuring this historic treasure remains for future generations.

In 1973, the Ximenez-Fatio House Museum was added to the National Register of Historic Places, and in 2012, it was designated a Florida Heritage Landmark. Our museum is recognized as one of the best-preserved and most authentic Second Spanish Period residential buildings in St. Augustine, Florida.
