Five Star Veterans Center, Inc.

Five Star Veterans Center is a nonprofit founded in March 2012 to assist veterans in overcoming a variety of challenges such as addiction and financial hardships and have a specific focus on mental wellness to include Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injuries.  

Today, up to 35 veterans can reside at Five Star and participate in programs to help them overcome their challenges in life, reenter the workforce, and achieve a sustainable, independent life. 

We couldn't do this without the support of our community. Every day we are contacted about some sort of donation for the facility. From furniture during a move, downsizing-sizing thanks to that new year's resolution and/or just little extra laying around. We are grateful for everything we receive and share with others when we receive too much. We accept furniture not only for our center but for the veterans that graduate and move back into independent living. We not only supply a safe & stable environment for a veteran to heal, but we also go that extra step. 

When community gets involved, amazing things get accomplished. Every year, every month we collaborate with several companies and groups during their own versions of give back. They assist in keeping our facility beautiful for our residents, painting and working in our garden. We also have partnerships with HBI, Home Depot just to name a few to not supply our residents with the tools they need to succeed but also educate and certify them in trades. 

Everything they need, right here. We just need a little assistance in keeping the mission going. 

I don't know about you, but witnessing veteran homelessness should never be. Those two words are spoken more than yes sir & no sir these days. 

With your support and donation, we can keep helping veterans and get them back out there to be productive in society. We can continue to house them and get them with mental health, Veterans Affairs and/or work or school. 

Let's serve them because they served us first...
